The Kanawha Charleston Soccer Foundation was founded over a decade ago with the primary purpose of acquiring land and building a soccer complex in the Charleston area.
The KCSF is made up of representatives
from the local recreational soccer programs, South Hills Soccer Association,
Side Soccer Association and Charleston Metro Soccer Club, as well
as representatives from two local travel soccer clubs, West Virginia
and Charleston Football Club.
The KCSF owns and operates the Friends of Coal Fields at Trace Fork. This six field soccer complex is located at the Shops at Trace Fork, just off U.S. Rt. 119 south of Charleston, West Virginia.
The complex includes two full size fields, one grass and the other a state-of-the-art FieldTurf field, complete with lights and bleachers. Four other, smaller fields accommodate younger age soccer practices and games.
The KCSF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as designated by the IRS in 2000. It is governed by a Board of Directors representing the various clubs which are members.
